One of my favorite projects was developing Neon Nights, a teen-friendly rave designed to provide a safe, welcoming space for young people to have fun and build community. I helped create the concept, develop the budget, plan the event experience, and design promotional materials to encourage attendance. I also worked with volunteers and community partners to coordinate entertainment, lighting, food, and activities.

On the day of the event, I helped transform the North Haven Recreation Center into an immersive neon-themed dance, assisted with setup, welcomed attendees, and stayed through breakdown at the end of the night. The event was a tremendous success, with teens describing it as "the best party I've ever been to" and "the coolest thing to ever happen at the Rec Center."

Through this experience, I learned that leadership is about more than having an idea. It requires planning, collaboration, communication, and a willingness to do whatever needs to be done to bring a vision to life.
